Rounton Farm Summer Camps!

 

Once again Rounton Farm is pleased to offer our unique Summer Camps! This is an wonderful opportunity for your child to nurture their love for learning while having fun! We have created camps that ooze excitement as well as support your child in their educational adventure.  Browse the list of classes with your child and find one that is right for both of you.

8-9am Pre Camp. Cost- $25 per week

12-1pm lunch break. Cost $25 per week

4pm-5pm Post Camp. Cost-$25 per week

Camps for 3 and 4 year olds

Get ready for a wild ride of fun for your 3 and/or 4 year old! We will be exploring nature, learning about life on the farm, playing games and getting creative. All this while working to master fine and gross motor skills as well as nurturing friendships with each other, our furry or feathery friends and the earth!

 

 

 

Buggin' Out

Investigate the amazing world of insects! Discover, collect, study, make minihabitats, read about, draw, and then release our buddies back to their homes.

Silly Science

Get ready to be messy when we explore the fun world of science with hands on experiments! All this while we explore the farm, read stories, play games and have fun!

Farm Safari

Pull on your boots for a full farm animal experience including tending to the chickens, meeting and grooming the ponies, and learning about the wild animals that live beyond the barnyard!

Silly Science

Explore the fun world of Science with messy and memorable hands on experiments! Each day we will navigate the scientific method by discussing its step and participating in several oozing, hair raising, and sticky experiments that will sure to please all budding scientists.

Water World

Get ready to cool off from the summer heat with Water World!  Experience water balloon sling shots, slip and slide fun, the great water obstacle course, water gun adventures, and much, much more! Have fun exploring all the different ways we can use water, act out the water cycle and do some cloud watching as well.  We will even have a "beach day" in the sand!

Craftastic

Bead it, Weave it, Glue it, Melt it! You name it we will try it. All of the old, new, and natural crafty materials will put our hands and creative ideas to work. Bring a project already in production to work on and learn a new one each day. Take home several masterpieces by week's end!

Outdoor Fun

We will push the limits of outdoor fun and then some! Get ready for rolling through amazing obstacle courses, practicing your aim using a giant sling shot, working on your communication riding our wooden group skis, testing your balance during egg crate tug-o-war, and much more!

Jr. Engineers

There are no perfect answers to the challenges we will explore. Get ready to build, experiment, question, think and most definitely get dirty! The constants we will experience are trial and error, fun, and learning from each other.

Animal Kingdom

Explore the world of animals through art, stories, and real hands on experiences. This camp will entice all your senses and take you around the world studying animals from every continent.

Edible Adventures

Entice your tastebuds as you learn about the wide variety of edible things in nature. Gather different nuts, berries and treasures out of the garden to make your own root beer, ice cream and apple cider. Learn the fun of letting nature feed you and more importantly what you can't eat in nature.

Into the Wild

Get outdoors and have fun - explore the woods, creeks, water troughs and meadows.  Search for different insects and interesting creatures.  Learn about different plants and trees - especially how to identify and avoid posion ivy. Create a fire using different primative fire making techniques, practice pitching your own tent as well as finding and creating safe drinking water. Each day will bring a different adventure and a greater appreciation for all that nature has to offer.

If You Build it, They Will Come

Have you ever thought about making a roller coaster, maze, castle, or sprinkler? Lets see if we can! Together we will plan and build some exciting structures, study what gives them strength and of course find out where their weakness lies!

June 29th-July 3rd

Age: Rising PreK-4th Grade

Cost: $130 per camp

Movie Making Madness

And the Oscar goes to....learn the basics of movie production by; putting together a skit, operating a camera, utilizing green screen, and editing imovie. This camp is a must for anyone interested in acting and/or creating short films.

Pint Size Picasso
Can we get Mona Lisa to smile? Did Jackson Pollock really use sticks to give his paintings depth. Lets look at some masterpieces and make them our own. We will begin a sketch book, use as many mediums as possible, and explore with different techniques.
