Some answers to the questions you may already have…

How many weddings do you host each weekend?

Your wedding day is our top priority for the entire weekend therefore we only host one wedding each weekend. Over the years our couples have referred to us a Wedding Venue Boutique because we genuinely care about you, your special day and your guests. We want you to enjoy the farm like we do, feel relaxed and at home.

Do you allow pets on the property for weddings?

Yes, we do! Dogs are the most common to accompany our couples down the aisle but we have also had cats, a pot belly pig, and even two sheep! As long as your furry friend can stay on a leash, they are welcome.

Do you have a rain plan?

We can host your ceremony right inside the barn where the reception is located. We have a few options to accommodate you in case of inclement weather depending on the size of your guest list. A good wedding planning always includes a weather related contingency plan.

Is a wedding planner required?

A wedding planner is not required but strongly suggested. If not someone paid, then your most organized and task oriented friend that can help you create a day of time line and support you in sticking to it.

Can we host the rehearsal dinner on the farm?

Yes you can! Choose the Two Day Wedding Package which includes time to decorate and a time for a rehearsal dinner, both the day before your wedding day.

Can we host a family gathering the day after the wedding?

You can do that too! Choose the Full Weekend Wedding Package and the farm is yours for the entire weekend.

When do we have the ceremony rehearsal?

Your ceremony rehearsal is usually held the day prior to your wedding day, occasionally the morning of. It’s up to you.

Is a deposit required to book our wedding date?

Yes, a non refundable $1,000 deposit is required to reserve your wedding date.

How do we pay the remaining balance?

All of our Contract work goes through an online platform called Honeybook. You can make online credit card or bank to bank payments in small monthly increments or several larger sums. It’s up to you.

Are your facilities accessible?

Yes, the barn as well as a private restroom are ADA compliant and fully accessible.

Can we use sparklers?

Weather permitting, yes you can use sparklers for your exit. We ask that you provide buckets to place used sparklers and someone to help round up those used sparklers.

Is your Vendor List exclusive?

We put the best of the best on our Vendor List. Professionals that we have seen in action and consistently blow us away with how amazing they are. We love meeting new people and are always open to new Vendors. Any new to us Vendors are required to have a walk through of the property prior to your wedding day.

Do you have on site accommodations?

We have space for two guests as our Bridal Suite doubles as an Airbnb accommodation. Typically this space is reserved for the bride and groom but that is up to you. There are also many local Airbnb and VRBO houses that can be rented, including a beautiful one directly across from Rounton. There are also two hotels within a 10 minute drive, and more within a 20 minute drive.

Do you require Event Insurance?

Yes, we do. Often times your current home insurance provider will carry day of event insurance for you. There are also companies like WedSafe that specialize in Day Of Event Insurance.

Is an ABC License required for serving alcohol?

Yes, an ABC License is required by law. Either your Caterer will provide one or you will need to obtain one from the Virginia ABC Authority.

What is the maximum occupancy of the barn?

There is seating for 200 in the barn. There is also space to have a large 40’ x 20’ tent next to the barn increasing your guest capacity by 100.

How many tables and chairs do you have?

We have a total of 22 handsome wood farm tables for you to use. Eleven are round and seat 8 guests. The other eleven are rectangle and seat 10. We have 200 wood chairs that we set up at your ceremony site for you and then transport them to the barn for your reception.

How many hours do we have for our wedding?

You have the entire day to enjoy the farm and prepare for your wedding. You, your bridal party, family and vendors can come and go on your wedding day beginning at 7am. You have a six hour block to host your ceremony and reception with the latest stop time being 11pm. Clean up can extend past 11pm.

Can we leave vehicles over night in the parking area?

Absolutely yes for whatever reason.

How many times can we stop by the farm before our wedding day for planning purposes?

You have an unlimited amount of visits to the farm and an unlimited amount of questions for planning purposes.
